A new MGN on media, other organisations and persons on ships and fishing vessels

This MGN replaces MGN 494 and provides additional guidance on the conduct of risk assessment when passengers, and in particular children, are carried on board. The MGN refers to the new requirement for fishing vessels to carry out a written risk assessment of the risks of going overboard and for those on board to wear a Personal Floatation Device or lifeline, if those risks cannot be eliminated.
